Member groups - book an artist now!
17 July 2009
Each year Making Music offers six young artists at subsidised rates to member groups throughout the UK. You should act quickly to take advantage of this before it's too late...
What is the AYCA scheme?
Funded by the Philip and Dorothy Green bequest, the Awards for Young Concert Artists scheme provides a limited number of subsidies for member groups to book soloists for their events.
Which musicians are available?
In the current season: violinists Anna-Liisa Bezrodny and Mathieu van Bellen, pianists Michael Ierace and Nestor Bayona Pifarré, soprano Sarah Power and saxophonist & clarinettist Hannah Marcinowicz.

Our six brilliant young artists are being snapped up by member groups throughout the UK. With busy performing schedules including recent performances at the Wigmore Hall and St. Martin-in-the-Fields, members need to act quickly to book these future stars.
How much does it cost?
Subsidies provide £110 towards the fixed fee of £225 which member groups pay to these artists. Choirs, orchestras, promoting groups and an Indian classical music ensemble are amongst the groups that have already made bookings. Don't delay if you want to make sure of securing one of the remaining slots!
How many artists can be booked?
Member groups can book as many artists as they like each year under the fixed fee arrangements (one group has booked three) but can receive only one subsidy in any one year. The artists can be booked now for the 2009/2010 or 2010/2011 season.
