Sing at the Southbank centre
25 February 2008
The Southbank centre is producing a spectacular and energetic outdoor performance event on 6 April 2008 to welcome the Olympic torch to London.
Imagine hundreds of singers in bronze, silver and gold, singing classic anthems such as Tallis' Cannon and a special commission by Lemn Sissay and Laka D in four part harmony, with a fanfare of trumpets from the London Philamonia on the upper balconies!
Dancers and drummers flowing through the crowds as the torch travels across the riverside terraces in celebration one of the world's most incredible events - The Olympic Games! This is an opportunity for Londoners to come together, sing up and dance.
