Frances Barratt

Frances Barrett

Frances Barrett is a newer face within Making Music. She is a musical all-rounder as she sings, plays viola for the Dulwich Symphony Orchestra, and is a percussionist for the Lambeth Wind Orchestra! Frances will be covering the Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham areas, and visiting as many groups as would like to hear from her!

Jenny CarringtonJenny Carrington

Longstanding volunteer Jenny Carrington will be spending the next 12 months meeting with groups in the Bromley and Croydon areas. A member of the Beckenham Chorale and South London Singers, Jenny is arranging visits with her local groups to increase awareness of core MM and RDO services. She is confident that by finding out what information and assistance would prove beneficial at a local level, and by becoming a ‘friendly face’ of MM for her local members, the enjoyment of music-making in her area can be increased.

Jean Leonard

Jean Leonard

Jean Leonard has been a member of the Addison Group of Singers (AGS) for 11 years. She was Chair of the AGS management committee for 6 years and - together with the committee and the Musical Director, David Wordsworth (in post since 1996) - was instrumental in turning it around into the lively group it is today. Jean lives in Twickenham with her husband and disabled son and is a full-time dental surgeon.

Rosemary Lewin

Rosemary Lewin

Rosemary Lewin has been a member of Making Music London for about 10 years. She studied music at the Guildhall in the 1960s before working in the field of social policy research. In 1994 she commissioned Ronald Corp to write a major choral work, Laudamus, in memory of members of her family. She sings with the Highgate Choral Society.

She loves to sing and performs with a local south west London choir. Anna hopes that skills acquired through her day job managing marketing for a professional services company will prove useful to the Making Music London region..

He sings with several other choirs including the St Endellion Festival chorus and is an enthusiastic and partisan supporter of English National Opera. He is also chairman of the Bromley Boy Singers. Now retired, he taught drama in schools in South London but continues to work as an examiner and adjudicator and occasionally as a theatre director.
