PROJECT ANIMATOR for 'Well Tunes' music volunteers scheme

Elixir Arts at South London Healthcare NHS Trust requires an experienced, temporary, part-time freelance Project Manager to make contact with local musicians in the boroughs of Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley, and encourage them to sign up as volunteers to lead music activities with older patients via hospital Voluntary Services departments. The post is about networking, contacting, interesting and encouraging. Candidates must be available to undertake 30 - 37 days' work in March - July 2010. The 'Well Tuned' project is funded by the National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund. Interviews week beginning 15 March 2010. MUSICAL DIRECTOR for Eltham Choral Society

Required from April 2010 as the current MD is moving to Australia. Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at St Luke’s Church, Westmount Road, Eltham, normally during academic terms. 3 or 4 concerts per year, with a tour to Normandy planned for June 2010. Applicants should send a letter outlining their suitability for the post together with their CV and the names of two referees to the Secretary of Eltham Choral Society at secretary@elthamchoral.org.uk. Auditions to be held on 4 March 2010.

UNPAID PLACEMENT with Association of British Orchestras

6-month voluntary placements, 4 days a week, starting twice a year - February and September - within a small, energetic and committed team based in central London. Helpful for graduates wishing to gain hands-on experience of the classical music industry and considering a career in arts administration. Travel expenses and lunch allowance provided. ACCOMPANIST / ASSISTANT MUSICAL DIRECTOR for Barnes Choir

Required to replace Julian Collings who will be leaving after 5 years with this thriving 70-voice choir in SW London, to assist the conductor Andrew Charity in playing for rehearsals and taking sectionals. Organist an advantage. Mainly sacred repertoire. Tuesday evening rehearsals in East Sheen. Rehearsal and concert fees.

CHORUS DIRECTOR for The Kings of Herts Chorus

The Kings of Herts Chorus (based Harpenden) are looking for a new Chorus Director. Our current Director is retiring from the position in November, we therefore need an individual (male or female) who preferably is familiar with the barbershop style, has an artistic flair and good communication skills, to replace him.
We are known as a sociable and friendly club of 42 guys and we rehearse on a Thursday evening. If you are interested, are experienced as a choral director or an assistant and live in North London, Hertfordshire or surrounding counties, you should initially contact:
