Exmoor Singers of London is one of the UK\'s finest amateur choirs and regularly performs in prestigious venues in London and further afield. Accolades awarded the choir have included Sainsbury\'s Mixed Voice Choir of the Year, first prize at two international choral festivals, and a four-star review in The Times. The choir’s activities are extremely varied, with repertoire ranging from renaissance to newly commissioned works, and from small-scale unaccompanied performances to major choral works with orchestra to collaborations with rock bands. Recording projects and broadcasts have included BBC Songs of Praise, BBC Electric Proms, BBC Radio 3, Classic FM, a soundtrack for a film, album tracks with rock bands Bloc Party and Snow Patrol, an art-sound installation for The National Trust, and two CDs for The Tablet magazine ‘My Kind of Hymn’ and ‘My Kind of Carol. The choir is working on a trilogy of CDs evolving from the group’s ‘sounds: voices of our time’ programme to promote the music of living composers through dedicated concerts and recordings.

Forum is open to all composers interested in composing contemporary classical music, which covers a wide variety of styles. There are no selection criteria for membership and the member composers range from beginners to professional composers with many years experience. Forum supports and promotes the work of its members (both amateur and professional), provides opportunities for learning, feedback on works in progress and discussion of ideas, and organises the bi-annual All Ears Festival for performance of new works by its members. The group also helps stimulate the creation of new works by co-ordinating workshops, tutorials and seminars on a wide range of composition related topics, from composition styles and theory through to the quirks of writing for particular instrumentations.

The London Saxophone Choir, formed in February 2008, is a group of enthusiastic amateur Saxophone players based in Denmark Hill, South East London. We have an inclusive membership policy and draw members from all walks of life and from across London. We play a variety of music, from ancient to modern, and in a variety of styles, from the classical to music invoking the rhythms of South America.
