FREE world music workshop with
Grand Union Orchestra

For 25 years, Grand Union Orchestra has celebrated the energy and creative possibilities of today's multiracial society through music. The group's highly acclaimed world musicians offer a free practical workshop in music from around the world.

When and where?

24 July 2010, 2-6pm at St John's at Hackney Church, Lower Clapton Road, London E5 0PD
nearest stations: Hackney Downs, Hackney Central

What's the format of the day?

A series of workshops and group performances with breaks.

Who can participate?

Anyone over the age of 12 who owns a musical instrument of any kind, whether it's been played recently or not! You do not need to read music and the day will cater for a mixed range of abilities.

Young musicians who attend this workshop may be offered the chance to join the Grand Union Youth Orchestra for an Autumn programme of free monthly masterclasses and performances.

How much will it cost?

The day is absolutely FREE but you must book a place with Grand Union in advance.
