What is disability? Do you know how to talk about it, and why using the right words matter? What are the implications of the Disability Discrimination Act on your organisation?
Whether as an introduction or refresher, this seminar will tell you all you need to know.
Learn about:
- identifying new deaf and disabled audiences and visitors, and how to establish and meet their access requirements.
- the DDA, its legal and practical definitions, and its implications.
- learn about appropriate terminology and practise your communicational skills.
- techniques that enable your front line staff to warmly and respectfully welcome deaf and disabled people.
