About the production

Following the success of the retransmission of Idomeneo last year, Ciné lumière, in collaboration with Arte, links up a second time with the prestigious Aix-en-Provence music festival to broadcast a live performance of a brand new production of Mozart's Don Giovanni.

Conducted by Louis Langrée, with Bo Skovhus in the lead role of Don Giovanni and stage direction by Dmitri Tcherniakov, the performance is set to be sensational. The production, specially commissioned for the festival and co-produced with the Teatro Real Madrid and the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, is performed in the beautiful historical outdoor Théâtre de l'Archevêché in Aix-en-Provence.
