Access to Music Diploma course

19 or over? Want to study music at college or university? Then the Access to Music Diploma course could be for you... Come along to a free open day to find out more. All music styles welcome.

Thursday 18 March 2010, 9.30am - 3.00pm
at Morley College, Emma Cons Hall, 61 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7HT

What is the Diploma?

The Access to Music Diploma is like a foundation course in music at Level 3. It runs for a year and learners need to be aged 19 or over to get onto it. It is geared specifically for those wanting to get into higher education and who show potential with the relevant skills at audition.

What happens at the Open Day?

The Open Day will give learners a chance to find out about the Access to Music Diploma. It will include presentations by the course leader and Access tutors, a concert by existing Access students, free lunch and a tour of the building.

What skills do I need?

• First study of either an instrument, voice or composition
• 5 years or Grade 5 on a first instrument or voice, or 5 years' experience in composition
• 5 years or Grade 5 in music theory
• 3 years or Grade 3 piano / keyboard skills
• Level 2 (GCSE) standard in numeracy and literacy

How much?

The day is absolutely free but you need to book a place.
